Still in a Hux fog days later! This story is full of surprises, suspenseful, some scary events and filled with laughter to break the much needed tension with the things that unfold in the story-line and these characters. Phoebe is a strong hard headed person and will stop at nothing to get her story exposed. Guess that is why Huxley had to go all Alpha male to stop her interview and start trying to protect her! All I will say to avoid any spoilers. Huxley is an Alpha through and through and now it's time to let Phoebe know that not only will he aide in getting her story, they need to do it a certain way to protect her and he's pulling out all stops to show her now is the time for them to explore a potential relationship. Can he protect her, but still get her story out there without endangering anyone lives? We shall see once you read the story. 
This is the second book I've read by this author and enjoyed. I truly hope that the other characters in this book get a story. So here's to trying! Throw me a Roman Candle and keep us in a Hux fog!

“Aiden,” Miss Slater repeated. “Do you know a Miss Scarlett Runyon?”
My whole body tensed at the name. “What’s this about?”
“Please, answer the question Mr… Aiden.” Miss Slater’s voice was tinged with frustration.
“Yes, I know her.” Images of Scarlett filtered into my brain. “At least, I did.” I hadn’t seen or spoken to her in four years. There was that one text, but other than that, radio silence. I’d spent a lot of that time trying to find her. I told myself—and the other members of the BRB—that it was because I wanted to protect her, but that had been a bald-faced lie. What time I hadn’t spent trying to locate her, I’d spent trying to fuck her memory away.
“I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but Miss Runyon was admitted several hours ago and is currently in emergency surgery.” Her words settled in my gut like a lead weight.
“Emergency surgery? What the hell happened?”
“I think it would be best if you came to the hospital to discuss the particulars. Are you able to come in?” The way she said that, it was like she was keeping something from me. Something important.
“Uh, yeah.” My hand absently threaded through my hair. I mentally calculated how long it would take me to get there and then added twenty minutes to give me time to shower and wash away last night’s debauchery. “I can be there in an hour.”
“Thank you, Mr. Winters.” I couldn’t have corrected her even if I’d wanted to. So many scenarios played out in my mind, none of them good. “When you arrive, please let the front desk know you’re here and they’ll page me.”
“Got it.”
“See you soon, Mr. Winters.” With that, she hung up.
I stuck my phone out in front of me and stared at the screen for a moment. After several seconds, I shook my head, as if to shake the answers loose to the million questions I had.
When the haze of confusion lifted, I grabbed clothes from my dresser and went to shower. I let myself linger under the spray a little longer than necessary, trying to get my swirling thoughts under control. It didn’t work.
As I drove Calypso, my bike, to the hospital, all of my questions resurfaced.
Why did Scarlett need emergency surgery?
Why was she back in Indiana?
Where had she been the last four years?
And more importantly…
Why the fuck was the hospital calling me?

Blogs Review

Broken Boundaries is book three in the Broken Rebel Brotherhood series and each book could be read as a standalone; however, while you could easily follow just one book along and enjoy it there are some things you see in the prior books that answer your question you may have had at that time. It is like bringing it full closure and anyways you would truly miss out on one of the good MC stories out there so read them all. 
Aiden hates secrets and knows the rules of the job, but from the moment he meet Scarlett all those years ago, there is something that pulls them together until she is gone. Now she is back for help again and is in for the shock of his life is all I will say. He may have Broken his Boundaries on the rules, but in doing this they both discover some much needed closure in the past that occurred. 
Scarlett bonds well with the girls and at times you may want to shake her, but you love her anyways by the end of the day (or story). You will enjoy reading on the BRB jobs and relationship this close banded crew has. I am definitely excited that it is not the end of the series and that Jackson gets a story! This is a newer author and third book and I cannot wait to read more by her as you will love her writing style and topics.

 Kiss the Stars is the first in the Falling Stars series and can be read as a standalone. It will follow the band Carolina George, but you will see this as a spin-off from the Bleeding Stars series that followed the band, Sunder. We get the see the now of the Sunder band family and friends, but this story will focus on Mia West (sister of Lyric) and Leif's story. 
Holy Wowzer! You will be Kissing and thanking the Stars as this story unfolds. It is full of mystery and suspense, but you can feel the love by these characters. Leif takes up a temp assignment while still focusing on his band, Carolina George. What he didn't expect was Mia! She's a temptation that aids in some great songs, but as the story unfolds will loving her destroy her (and himself)? Um, not saying, just know while you will have to close your mouth from gaping a few times, it will smile with how all prevails. 
I have not read all books in the Bleeding Stars series (one day I will), but whether you read one or all you can easily follow the Sunder, Caroline George and Mia story. There is not one story that won't have you Falling or Bleeding in love with in the end. I hope that in the future we will get another spin-off of the children in this band of family and friends.
