Wrong Side is the first book in the Bad Boys of Pendwood University and what a comeback HJ made. From the first page you are hooked and you feel the emotions running throughout this book whether it be from Sadie or Theo or a secondary character. Two people with different backgrounds and reasons for their actions have some much in common yet not much in comparison, but fit perfectly. Theo may be on the Wrong Side of the tracks, but Sadie was on the Wrong Side of the other tracks. Your heart truly breaks more than once reading this, just when you thought you were healing smack, you get a twist we do not expect. Wowzer! If you're a fan of HJ you will be glad she's back; if you have never read her you're in for a new favorite author. I highly recommend this author and I cannot wait to see more in this series.

Rule Breaker is book three in the Las Vegas Vipers series and each can be read as a standalone; however, it is nice seeing all the characters as they grow or who can potentially be next to get a story. Dom and Holly had an instant connection and as the events unfolded you had to ask yourself, "Is it worth it to be a Rule Breaker?" I know my response after reading this, but I'll leave it up to you to decide as well. 

Dom may break the rules, but he does it with his heart's involvement. People talk, but when they know the real reason he ended up in jail and as a youth coach it will actually touch your heart. Holly is a single mom and ironically as I was reading this story I didn't realize how much I was able to relate to her with recent events that occurred in my personal life. It always amazes me how when you think you are reading a book to step away from reality, it somehow touches you and makes you see that inside each story you unexpectedly maybe able to relate to the story. 

These two may have broken the rules, but in the end you will see the growth that both of these characters experienced for better. If you love sports, single mom's and alpha men who have a troubled past this one is for you. I highly recommend this series to readers.
