Review: A Drop of Paradise

A Drop of Paradise A Drop of Paradise by Alex L. Michaels
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A Drop of Paradise felt all beachy and then at times you wanted to get off that Island when some mysterious things occur, but at the same time you wanted to stay cause that kept you guessing who or what was it. It was like a game of Clue, but Island style. Fun right, well maybe for us readers, but not for Jessica. She came to the Island to have some peace and quiet, to cure her writer’s block and to think about her life I’ll say, so who better to interrupt her quiet than the guy sitting next to her pool side. Yep, he pushes her buttons and you want to throw Stones at him, but Mike is a hottie and wants Jessica to see there is more to this Island than meets the eye.
These two from the moment they meet have sparks fly; however, it isn’t peaches and cream cause it was more like love/hate and when you think finally something is going to spark, you crash and burn with something in their way. These two will have you laughing though and the things that occur on the Island may just end up in her next book. This trip sure better have cured her writer’s block, I say it has, but that will be for you to decide if you agree. So grab a drink of choice and see if you can guess who or what it was. This is the first book in the series and I am excited to see where the next book is headed.
