BLURB@UofJ411: What’s happening here? #TheyDoSayOppositesAttract #WhereAreAllThePost-itsOn a scale of one to ten, Quinn Thompson is a fifteen.
Gorgeous. Fiery. A cheerleader so far out of my league it’s embarrassing that I even fantasize about her.
I need to find a way to shut down the dirty thoughts she inspires before it’s too late. If I don’t, this whole new life of mine is at risk.
Easier said than done when temptation lives right down the hall.
For such a smart guy, CK can be surprisingly clueless.
Sweet. Shy. The star of all my naughty nerd fantasies, but utterly blind to my flirtations.
Giving in to his plea to be his love coach may seem drastic, but I’m desperate for the chance to come off the bench.
Too bad the friend zone was a hell of a lot safer for my heart.

Off the Bench is book four in the UofJ series and each can be read as a standalone; however, why miss out on this hilarious crew that has you laughing with their antics and comments. It is nice seeing crossover characters make appearances if you have followed the author's other series. If not, you should check them out cause you will not be disappointed.
Quinn and CK are complete opposites, but you can see the connection these two share outside of their friendship and roommates. Q is outgoing and I loved how she loved his glasses (it made him that him). CK was bullied all his life for being nerdy so being accepted by this group is out of character and he still holds back waiting for the ball to drop. One thing you will learn is this band of friends are just that friends and if they accept you, you know you got a friend for life. I love how it was a slow burn, burned hot and how the roommates knew what CK was to blind to see.
If you enjoy college goofballs, sports to nerdy characters and an all around hilarious set of characters, this book and series is for you. I highly recommend this author for any series she has written.

Title: Saving Dare
Series: Flawed Hearts #1
Author: J.E. Adams
Genre: Small Town Romance
Release Date: December 21, 2021
A captivating small-town romance where timing is everything.
Kaylyn Shaw knows what it means to start over. After her husband’s trial, she changed everything about herself: new identity, new job, new city. But, her trust issues persist.
Darren “Dare” Watkins thought he’d hit rock bottom when his combat injury forced him to be medically discharged from the Navy. Slowly but surely, he’s managed to piece together a new life.
While volunteering as a swim official, Dare meets Kaylyn. Sparks fly for him, but she isn’t as easily impressed. Just when things start to change between them, Dare stumbles upon confidential information about Kaylyn’s past.
He wants to protect her – to keep her safe. Kaylyn has other ideas. Will her trust issues prove too strong, or will Kaylyn be able to take a chance on love?
Saving Dare is a stand-alone contemporary romance. It features strong steamy scenes and intense imagery. Trigger warnings include suicidal ideation in a main character, threat of rape, descriptions of violence, combat injuries, and PTSD.
JE Adams was born and raised in a small town in northern Illinois, but you’ll now find him in the beautiful mountains of northeast Georgia. The scenery that surrounds him invokes his soul in ways that allow him to freely appreciate and explore all that nature provides. Creative thoughts seem easy to come by with the idyllic backdrop of America’s finest rural countryside as inspiration.
Being a Navy veteran who likes to explore the intricacies of military romantic relationships through honest and compelling characters, Jim is pleased to present his first book in the Always and Forever series. This story will captivate the reader and open their eyes to how our uniformed men and women traverse through the complications of love and patriotic duty.
When not reading or writing, you’ll find JE enjoying classic movies, exploring the numerous jeep/hiking trails in the area, and officiating swim meets. He never fails to find something to fill his days and entertain his spirit.

Blogs Review
Saving Dare is book one in the Flawed Hearts series and each book will be able to be read as a standalone with interconnecting characters based upon the next book in the series. This is my first read by this author and I am glad to see the author touched on sensitive topics that many keep hushed on. It is eye opening to see what a person goes through in different ways when they experience trauma whether emotional, physical or mental.
Dare definitely has a Flawed Heart, but he has a huge heart in all aspects of his life. You will want to hug him a few times reading his story. Kaylyn also has a defective heart, but in a different way. She is strong, but doesn't trust easily and that is understandable given her story. These two do not start out strong, but in the end the bond that was hard to ignore gives them a chance at many things.
The shocker on how many crazy nuts became is nuts (all I will say to avoid a spoiler), haha. I truly enjoyed reading this story and hope that someone who reads this may help them should they be able to relate to this story. I look forward to reading more on either this series or this author.

Game Changer by Stacey Lynn is now live!
Falling for your best friend is one thing, accidentally getting knocked up by him is another...
Hockey hottie Garrett Dubiak has been my best friend since college and the one constant in my life the past seven years. Through distance, career changes, and other relationships, we've always found our way back to each other.
Including one wild weekend this winter, when he finally told me he wanted more... wanted everything from me.
Too afraid to admit I felt the same, I told him I needed time.
Twelve weeks later, here I am, pregnant with his baby, alone, and terrified.
He's my best friend. He deserves to know the truth.
So I swallow my fear, my pride, and I shoot my shot. I just hope he's still willing to have me--and our baby.
Download today on Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play, Kobo, Barnes & Noble!
Stacey Lynn likes her coffee with a dash of sugar, her heroes with a side of bossy, and her wine a deep shade of red.
The author of over thirty romance novels, many of which have been best-selling titles on Amazon, AppleBooks, and Barnes & Noble, she loves being able to turn her vivid imagination into a career that brings entertainment and joy to her readers. Focused on sports romance and emotional, small-town romance, she also loves stretching herself in different genres.
Born in Texas and raised in the Midwest, she now makes her home in North Carolina and loves all things Southern. Together with her ultimate tall, dark, and handsome hero, she has four children. Her life is a chaotic mess that fights with her Type-A, list-making, neurotically organized preferences and she wouldn't have it any other way.
Game Changer is book one in the Las Vegas Vipers series and each will be able to be read as a standalone. Typically you can figure out who will be next in the series to get a story and this time we cannot figure out who it is, cannot wait to find out who it will be. It has been a few years since I have read this author and she made me realize just why I had previously enjoyed reading her books.
In this story we meet Garrett and Lizzie who are BF with benefits but one runs scared from their feelings and has to make a life altering decision. Stay or go? This story will hook you from the beginning to end (although I felt the ending was rushed-my opinion only) and you grow to not only love these characters, but the hockey family as well. I love reading about Chi-town characters even if they do spend most of the story in Vegas. Not only can I not wait to see who is next, but secretly I am hoping one of the non-married team members ends up with Garrett's sister who we meet in this book. I highly recommend this read if you enjoy BF, secret/surprise pregnancy and sports romance.

“Do you know my name?” Every muscle in my body goes rigid. “Excuse me?” Her chest heaves, and the movement clearly causes her pain, but her lips flatten stubbornly. “What is my name?” Those blue eyes are troubled now, fear edging in, while distress practically oozes from her voice. “You don’t…know your name?” I ask slowly, carefully gauging her reaction. “No.” She swallows audibly, her eyes filling with tears. “I don’t remember anything.” Fuck. I scoot my rolling stool closer and take a seat beside her. Peering at her, I try to decipher whether she’s being completely honest. I’ve learned to be suspicious over the years, especially with living in part of the denser, remote jungle areas bordering the coast. “Well, what I can tell you is”—I lace my fingers casually—“you’re not pregnant, you have an IUD for birth control, and the panel I ran on you says you’re negative for any sexually transmitted diseases. “You’re also blood type O, and your X-rays showed some broken bones—both previously incurred and current. “Two of your ribs on your right side showed current hairline fractures, likely sustained during your…accident.” I pause for even a flicker of acknowledgment but get nothing. Nothing, that is, except witness her expression bloom with stark terror. “I removed two bullets from your shoulder and two more from your side near your hip. You also suffered a considerable stab wound. “The X-rays indicated you most recently broke your index finger on your left hand. It’s since healed.” She stares down at her hand, now trembling slightly, as if it’s grown a head of its own. I don’t bother informing her of the other bones in her body that indicated a previous break or fracture. Broken left wrist. Fracture near the base of her right elbow. Fractures of most of the small bones in her right foot. Broken nose. Fractured jaw. Straightening her fingers, she wiggles them before her eyes cut to mine. A thread of panic lines her tone. “I should remember something like that, shouldn’t I?” I scan her features again for evidence of deceit but come up empty. I’m dealing with a woman who has a severe case of amnesia. Sonofabitch.
AUTHOR BIO
RC Boldt is a USA Today bestselling author currently living in part of the Costa Rican jungle with the love of her life and her mini-me.
Washed Away is a book that holds you captivated with the story full of mystery and suspense and wondering what her name is? Will she gain her memory? Why was she left there and is it a coincidence? Let me start by saying this girl is strong cause I don't think would have made a .01 % of what she endured her whole life.
We meet Liam who is a man of mystery as well. In order to get the full story it is told from dual POVs and past/present. There is a chemistry between the two, but can they explore them based upon the events that have occurred?
This book will hook you from the beginning to end, you will tear up a time or two and I encourage you to read this book if you like a good romance mystery and suspense book.
