“You all right, man?” Micah asked, his tone serious.
“Yeah. Yeah, I’m fine. It’s just…” He wouldn’t understand. Nobody would.
“I know, Griff.” Micah placed his hand on my shoulder. I didn’t bother trying to remove it. Micah wouldn’t budge. “We’ll find her. You’ve gotta believe that.”
“Alive or dead?” I whispered.
“Huh?”
“Yes, we’ll find her,” I lifted my eyes to the ceiling and blew out a frustrated breath. “But will it be alive or dead?”
 “She’s a fighter, Griffin. We’re going to bring her home.” Micah’s head twisted toward the kitchen as another cry rang out. He turned back to me and squeezed my shoulder. “We won’t stop until we do.” And then he was gone.
Of course we’d bring her home. I knew that. Leave no man behind. Dead or alive. Jesus, let her be alive.
I followed the sounds of laughter and made my way into the kitchen, pausing at the door and taking in the sight of my family. No one acknowledged my presence, and that suited me fine. Nell was putting some snacks out for everyone. Micah and Sadie each held a baby, swaying to calm them. Doc and Aiden sat at the bar shoveling food into their mouths as quickly as it hit the counter.
She should be here.
I rubbed the ache in my chest as I walked the rest of the way into the space.
“Finally.” Nell winked to soften the comment.
“Sorry,” I mumbled to no one in particular. No one acknowledged the apology, nor had I expected them to. I knew they weren’t angry with me for my broodiness, and certainly, they had an idea of the cause. With our shared past, most of us had PTSD, causing some off days. Sure, I’d been cranky and anti-social more than usual, but they understood why. Partially, anyway.
The next hour was as close to fun as it could get. We ate, joked, laughed, and ribbed each other. We talked about our time together in the Navy Seals, regaling Sadie with more stories than she probably wanted to hear. It all felt so...normal.
She should be here.
As Doc was reminiscing about his first day with the BRB, my phone vibrated in my pocket. I ignored it, wanting to stay present in the moment. When it vibrated again, and again, I gave in and took it out of my jeans. After swiping my finger over the screen, I punched in the passcode, and my stomach dropped as I read text messages from Jackson, the Sheriff.

Jackson: Possible break in the case.
Jackson: We need you. Be at my office in    
                 half an hour.
Jackson: Where are you?
Jackson: Call me, dammit!

Broken Innocence is book two in the Broken Rebel Brotherhood (BRB) MC series and while each book can be read as a standalone, you will see in the first book how this close knit family came to be and includes women not just brothers. This is one of the good MC series and involves Veterans protecting not only their family, but others in town especially women in need. 
Oh boy! Broken heart, tears and hurt are only some of the things you will feel while reading this story. This story is not for the faint of heart, so tread lightly. Brie you are stronger than strong let me say this. I would have died long time ago. In this book, we get Brie and Griffin's story. They are both BRB members and have loved each from afar for years. Funny in light of all bad things, that everyone already knew what they tried to hide from each other. Brie may be broken, but she has this family and Griffin to help slay those demons. Griffin is patient, a protector and finally dealt with enough time of hiding his feelings. He will show Brie he will stand by her and love her the way she was meant to be loved. 
This series pulls you in from beginning to end, has heart/broken, suspense and turns you don't see coming and yet still manages to put a smile on your face at the end. I truly enjoy this series and recommend this series to anyone who enjoys good MC books. I look forward to seeing just what Aiden breaks and how it plays out.

Blogs Review

Just Getting Started is the second book co-written by this author for this series. We get to see where the characters from the first book are and we get the story of Gaby, Gwen's sister and Harrison's BF, Chase in this story. Chase is known as a guy who gets around, but I'm going to say just remember to not judge a book by it's cover cause wowzer you got us on these little twists that came to light. He's had enough of the single life and has liked Gaby for quite a while now so now it's time to show her. It won't be easy based upon his past so the title is perfect for these two. He's Just Getting Started on showing her just how serious he is and what perfect timing when she needs a place to crash. Welcome home Roomie! 
I love that even in book two you still cannot figure out which author wrote which chapter. These two co-writing together are books to fall in love with so take your title, Just Getting Started and plan on writing more for us to enjoy in the future. Like a Colton story maybe. You will feel the chemistry between these two and keeps you guessing on where and how it plays out. You do not have to read book one to read this one; however, you get to see the connection and banter these two gave each other and how it led up to the now. If you enjoy co-writing stores and frienemies to lovers to story is for you.
