Series: The Unbreakable Thread #1
Author: Lisa Suzanne
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: March 12, 2018
Blurb
As the bad boy drummer for the multi-platinum band Vail,
Ethan Fuller thinks he’s invincible. He acts on impulse and has committed to
the stereotypes of the rock star life with no regard for consequences. The one
girl who had the power to tame him is just a distant memory.
Now that she has landed the opening gig on Vail’s next tour, Maci Dane is on the path to everything she always wanted. Fame, success, and money are trivial compared to her real objective: to break the heart of the one who broke hers.
When they meet face to face for the first time in nearly two decades, Ethan is reminded of the one who got away while Maci works tirelessly to hide her past. As she attempts to even the score, feelings from the past are rekindled. Will she give into love or use her power to break him?

Stomping on peanuts while throwing a tantrum until I can tie up Maci and Ethan to an invisible thread or unbreakable one until I can get my hands-on book #2. The Power to Break not only breaks Maci and Ethan, but it breaks us as well. Oh, don’t you worry we get the bad boy rock star who is a love them and leave them guy, but while he’s bad he’s also real and you feel for him at times. Maci her pain bleeds to her songs, but this also goes to show you how powerful words can be and changes your life in that moment. Maci has a goal and is focused on achieving this goal, but there is a side to every story and maybe just maybe the past needs to be spoken to heal both of them. Ethan may not be the sharpest at times and relies on Mark when it comes to the band, but you see that it is what it is and what it isn’t starts to blur and he’s pretty sharp on his thoughts when it comes to these.
With Maci opening up for Vail this could either boost her career even more or hurt her career. Those collaborations and I am not saying by or with whom are going to be chart toppers, but I couldn’t write a song if my life depended on it; however, as I am reading I start going back and saying ooh that line spoken was meant to be in the song. True feelings will definitely appear once the collaboration is finished or better be made into a song or two.
Maci and Ethan both had their hearts broken when they were younger and while she is set on revenge he is set on keeping his heart closed off since the girl he loved Vanished. Maci starts changing this the more time they spend together, but will the mistakes, misunderstanding and secrets prevent them from going beyond the tour. Well I wouldn’t know since it ends in a semi hanger is what I will call it at best cause it’s going to be a long piece of thread by the time this final saga is out. OK, maybe I’m exaggerating a bit, but a little over a month and a half is a long time for us when you we want to know the other half of the story and if Ethan will no longer be the only single guy in the band or what knot (no not spelled wrong as it goes hand in hand with the thread).
Lisa once again sold out this tour with this book. There has not been a book yet by her that I have not loved and this might be the best one yet. Still undecided don’t know if I can push Mark or a few characters from her other books out just yet. All I can say is keep writing cause I have all your books, my front row ticket to Vail (and it will probably be the only ticket I ever have that is front row) and with your upcoming signings this just means I can grab more books to add to my Lisa collection. Lisa pulls out the good and the bad of the characters and makes us weep and then pairs it with steam and sweet moments to give us the full effect and makes us feel as we are apart of the band, crew and tour.
