Title: Drunk Girl
A Lyrics and Love Novel
Author: Samantha Lind
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: July 24, 2019

Blurb

NICK
Beautiful, broken, and abandoned.
The second I see her in my bar,
With cover charge stamps plastering her hands,
I know what I have to do.
Take her home,
Get her into bed,
Where I know she'll be safe.

I do exactly that.
Leaving her keys and my number,

As I lock the door behind me.

She deserves more,
So much more.

ASHLEY
Shattered, vulnerable, and alone,
Trapped in a lifetime of hurt,
Trying to break the cycle.

But he came in,
Saved me,
From myself,
From my circumstances.

Showing me compassion,
And respect.
Proving I am so much more.

More than just a pathetic drunk girl.

Blogs Review

Drunk Girl is book two in the Lyrics & Love series and is a standalone in the series, but don't miss out on the other book cause it was so good. I love the snippet of her other series that made a cameo in here. Our love of music, author playlist and songs that makes us think of characters while listening to a music has made headway and this series gives us just that. The authors take on how the song in a story plays out. Love it!
This story could have been spun so much differently and I'm glad it didn't. Ashley had enough bad things happen throughout her life. Nick being the co-owner of the bar, Tap House sees plenty as a bartender, but he sees Ashley for so much more. Ashley/Nick were different (opposites attract), but from the moment they met there was a bond. Who knew that a crappy day that Ashley had would turn for the better?! Whoever said, "drowning your sorrows in a bar is wrong" doesn't know these two. He shows her that she's more than a "Drunk Girl".
You fall in love with the characters, you feel their emotions and you wish that bar was real cause I'd be going to try some beers and food. I love reading this series and hope there is more Lyrics & Love coming soon.
