Guitars and Mistakes by Quinn Marlowe is available now! https://books2read.com/GuitarsandMistakes

A rockstar who doesn't know his own mind. A rising star who wants to save him. And a secret that will either save them... or tear them apart.

RIVERS
Lila Potter. Sunshine Girl. Rising star. And as of this week, my agent’s new favorite project—and one, I’ll add, that replaces her old favorite project, which was me. The agent—and for all I know, the record label and my publicist, too—have decided that I’m no longer worth their time. I’m too broken. Too dark. Too damaged.

The sad thing is, they’re right. And Lila is a better option for all of them. She’s gorgeous and talented and sunny. The bright light to my darkness.

The sunshine to my broken soul.

And the only balm that can make me feel better. I’m in love with the girl and everything about her… but I also know that she’s too good for me. She’s too bright, too beautiful, and I’m willing to sell my entire life’s work to save her from anyone who might hurt her.

Even if that someone is me.

LILA
Rivers Shine. Famous rockstar. Playboy. Angstiest musician around.

And also a lost boy, not that anyone else has ever bothered to notice. But I saw it the first time I met him, even though he puts on a good show with his grunge, loud music, and ice-cold stares. I’ve never been able to stop seeing it. Rivers Shine is a good man who’s built a bad reputation just to keep himself protected from the world around him. He doesn’t want anyone seeing the real him, though he’s never told me why that is.

The thing is, I do see the real him. I see the laughter. I see the wry sense of humor and the fact that he’d sell his own soul for the people he loves. I’ve even seen the teddy bear he doesn’t want anyone to know about.

I also know he’s planning to sacrifice himself for the good of his band. And I’ll be damned if I’ll let him do that. Because I love him too much to allow it. Even if he’s the most dangerous—and possibly deadly—thing that’s ever happened to me.

BLOGS REVIEW

TATTOOS and Mistakes
Tattoos and Heartbreak is the start of the Trouble Next door series and is going to need to be read in order. River and Lila are singers and know the deal, fake it to make it real. It's a win win for them both, right? Ha, Faking it means lines are starting to blur. The chemistry between the two is real so there is no faking that, but can Lila save this broken man and can her sweetness be enough? Guess we won't know until the next book, Guitars and Mistakes.
Anna while River has heartbreak, my heart breaks for you cause in this duo of a band (Lila and you) I feel you were a little left out. Why yes, I am talking to a character! I bet you will agree with my opinion once you've read the book. It's a quick read and who doesn't love a rockstar read! I look forward to the upcoming book to see what transpires not only between these two, but as a band.

GUITARS and Mistakes

GUITARS AND MISTAKES is book two in the Trouble Next Door series and must be read in order so you will need to read Tattoos and Heartbreak first. Rivers and Lila opposites in all ways and then some. She's full of sunshine and surprises, he is the bad boy and based upon past life experiences struggles with the good is what I will say. This story is full of mistakes, music and any annoying music rep (Taylor) and then the boys of the band and Anna (love it when they perform together). Your heart will break for River, but the light Lila shines helps heal all (music and him). I am holding out hope that Anna and Matt's little secretive spark lands them a story. Hug to the author for sharing a personal situation with us readers, I myself have gone through this (no happy for me) so here's hoping to the best for you both and bravo for writing during a trying team (healing I hope as you write).
