Conflict is book three in the Wellingtons and each can be read as a standalone. This was the first read in this series and author for me. The author does give stories on the other characters in the series and what I am assuming outside of the series she wrote. It helps with the background if its your first read; if not, it may appear gapping due to the timespan of the years between the books being written, but it sounds like it triggers your light bulb and your happy for Shane’s story. This is my opinion and in no way should deter you from reading this story cause it was really good.

Shane always thought his mom’s motto was a joke until it happened to him when he least expected it. That fable being-The Wellington Way. Shane/Alyssa have an instant connection (and I mean that literally from Alyssa’s POV), but it was only a one-night stand. Both couldn’t forget each other and were focused on their careers that at times they forgot about themselves. Well add a little does of fate, family and Conflict in business and you have one heck of a story. You’ll laugh, feel the tension and love the interaction between not only Alyssa/Shane, but the other characters. Inquiring minds wants to know if Bryan (Alyssa’s roommate) will be getting a story? Oh, the circling and feelings to be explored with that one!
