“I’M A VIRGIN. AND YOU NEED TO RELIEVE ME OF THAT.”
What respectable guy
could say no to that? Yeah, she was my best friend. But she was also the
hottest chick I’ve ever known. I thought it would be simple. I thought we’d
have a good time, then pretend like it never happened.
It turns out, I was
an idiot.
Now, she wants
nothing to do with me, but I’m determined. I’ve spent the last five years
without her and I refuse to waste another day. I have a solid plan. All of my
figurative ducks are in a row. I’m going balls to the wall, and I’m not
stopping until I win back the only girl I’ve ever loved.
Too bad for me, Devyn
Summers was sitting on a secret that nothing could’ve prepared me for.

MY DICK CAN BE A REAL BASTARD SOMETIMES.
When he takes
charge, I’ve been known to do a lot of stupid shit, despite the fact that I
have a genius IQ. Case in point: How I met the woman of my dreams.
Now, I’m going to
let you in on a little secret: I don’t regret that moment of idiocy one bit. It
may have been one of the most embarrassing moments of my life, but you know
what they say about first impressions, right? Well, I can guarantee that I made
quite the impression that evening. (Don't worry; I’ll tell you all the
gory details later.)
Most days, she acts
like she hates me—probably because I behave like an ass— but we both know the
truth: Rainey O’Neil wants me just as much as I want her—she just doesn’t want
to admit it.
Good thing I’ve
never been one to back down from a challenge.

I’VE OFFICIALLY SCREWED THE POOCH.
I mean, not literally, because that would be
disgusting. But I did break one of the cardinal rules of Bro Code, which is
equally appalling. You see, I fell in love with my best friend’s sister after
he explicitly forbid me to go near her. As if that weren’t bad enough, I went
ahead and married her while sh*tfaced in Vegas.
I know that I should get an annulment and
forget the whole thing ever happened, despite the fact that our wedding night
was the hottest thing I’ve ever experienced.
The last thing I should do is go back for
seconds.
Or thirds.
Or...you get the point.
And what I definitely shouldn’t do, is say
f*ck the consequences and give this marriage a real shot.
But here’s the problem with that: I’m pretty
sure that Charlotte Harris is the one. And if that’s the case, nothing
is going to keep me away from her. Not even her brother.

Author Bio
Laura's
passion has always been storytelling. She spent most of her life with her nose
in a book thinking of alternate endings or continuations to the story. She won
her first writing contest at the ripe old age of nine, earning a trip to the
state capital to showcase her manuscript. Thankfully for her, those early works
will never see the light of day again!
Laura lives
in the Pacific Northwest with her wonderful husband, two beautiful children,
and three of the most poorly behaved cats in existence. She likes her fruit
smoothies filled with rum, her cupboards stocked with Cadbury's chocolate, and
her music turned up loud. When she's not writing or watching HGTV, she's
reading anything she can get her hands on. She's a sucker for spicy romances,
especially those involving vampires, bad boys, or cowboys!

Deal Breakers (Book 1)
Deal Breakers is book one in the Dealing with Love series. While each book can be read as a standalone, it is nice to see the secondary characters background. This is a friend to lover story with a surprise for one of the characters. Devyn and Riley were college friends though Riley wanted more from her, she friend zoned him until Devyn made a Deal with Riley to Break her free of the cherry pop. Oh my, Riley sure has his hands full years later to show her that he means business this time around. The surprise is a bonus I will say, but nothing tops that swear jar. Too funny as is the character. Let’s make a Deal isn’t always fun and games, but in the end even if you win a little bit it’s not a Breaker. I truly enjoyed this story and look forward to the other books in the series.
Deal Takers (Book 2)
Deal Takers is book two in the Dealing with Love series. It can be read as a standalone if you chose or if you like me, you enjoy reading the full series to get the inside scoop of those secondary characters background. Oh my, this book had some hilarious and embarrassing moments. Brody is a riot and it isn’t the first time he will stop at nothing to show Rainey he wants to be with her. Over the years he tried to make a Deal with her, but she would not Take. I love how even though he found out something, he let her learn on her own as it made it better for him in my opinion. The banter and chemistry between these two are spot on and I loved that a little blue made our day brighter and full of laughter. If you are looking for a hilarious read this one is for you.
Deal Makers (Book 3)
Vegas is about scoring big right? So, let’s make a Deal! Screw the bro code and stay married or annul your funny and hot as hell marriage night with the one who may be your one shot at real love. Drunk Vegas is awesome to read about and Charlee (Charlotte) and Drew (Andrew) are no exception. I think they may be my favorite Vegas story so far. This is book three in the Dealing with Love series and can be read as a standalone. This is my first read by this author and in this series and I’m glad that I picked this up to read instead of waiting to read. Charlee and Drew are a no, no as Drew is the BF to her brother, Brody. What happens in Vegas doesn’t always remain in Vegas as much you as would like it to! Waking up married is one of them. Do you explore where this can lead to or do you jump ship and walk away without seeing if it was the right decision after all? You won’t always agree with Charlee’s actions, but on one hand you can see she was trying to do the right thing for the wrong reasons. Drew may not have an easy decision either, but if Brody can’t see what others can see then he doesn’t value his friendship or sister enough is my opinion. I loved the pull and tug between these two, you will laugh at sober and drunk moments and you will feel the hardest decision they will have to make. Deal or no deal is the question? I would like to go back and read the other two books in the series to get the stories on the secondary characters more in depth than what we saw in this book. I look forward to reading more by this author. |
