Blurb:

I fell for the boy next door, and then my father ripped it all away from us.

The first person to catch my eye in a long time is a colleague who tells me what we just did over his desk will never happen again.

And then my mother calls with news from back home.

I have to head back to the small town my father forced me to leave seven years ago knowing the boy I still love will show up, too.

When I finally see him, itโ€™s clear we have unfinished business. But it doesnโ€™t matter. His life is in the Vegas spotlight now, where he plays pro football and goes home to his wife.

My life is in Chicago now, where I embark on a torrid affair with my colleague.

And then two little pink lines show up with the power to change everything. The first time I saw them, my world imploded.

This time will be different. It has to be.

I wonโ€™t be making the same rookie mistake again.

BLOGS REVIEW

Rookie Mistake #1

Rookie Mistake is book one in the Vegas Aces: The Wide Receiver series and Tristans' story. For those of us who have read the prior spin off series the Wicked Witch is back!! For those who are new you are in for a real treat (no you're not!) on his wife. The spawn of evil!!!

Tristan may come off as the young naive football player, but not fully is what I will say. The S name who I shall not name is still evil and I don't know how she will play out in this series. How the heck does she get away with some of this stuff? Inquiring minds want to know. Tristan made a mistake okay a few and he is now paying for it. IT was interesting getting to know his side and Tessa's side. Speaking of Tessa this poor girl cannot catch a break and I hope one day the first will be met is all I will say. Great start to another Vegas series and bring on ridding the evil spawn please!

Hidden Mistake #2

Hidden Mistake is book two in the Vegas Aces: The Wide Receiver series and cannot be read as a standalone as each book picks up where the other left off. In this book we see the small town and how Tristan and Tessa are building back up a friendship after not seeing each other for years. There are still many discussions to be had between the two; however, we will go with while they were mistakes they were meant to occur for them to get where they need to be now (ok soon). Luckily we don't see the spawn much, but when you do Tristan has actually come out of his 'shell' and finally took a step he should have done a long time ago. The question is once Tristan does find out a few Hidden Mistakes how will we take this and will he believe it was an Honest mistake?
