Worth the Wait by Evey Lyon is book three in the Lake Sparks and each can be read as a standalone, but boy did I wish I began this series from the beginning. You can follow along just fine; however, I like knowing the backstory of the secondary characters. It always helps me not only connect with them, but see things you may have not seen in their stories. In this book we get Ford, Brielle and Conner and boy are you in for a story. Young parents and meddling parents do not mix! They still don't mix when you're older. You will see that while it may not have been the one they wanted, the decision they made was not only for their future but for their child, Conner. Ford and Brielle co-parent as you would hope all do (though we know otherwise). It is funny knowing that Connor sees more than they think! Haha. While I may have missed the prior book and will one day go back and read them, I do look forward to the spin-off cause if you thought Ford was alpha here I can only imagine what happens with Violet (hahaha). You will find out who she is reading this story! I do recommend this series to those who enjoy a sports read, young parents and second chances.
