This is the first book that I have read by this author and in this series, Fighting. Oh, don't worry, I now want to go back and read the other three books in this story cause these secondary characters are just as intriguing as Kaden and Ashley. One thing that I enjoyed about the beginning of the book is that the author took the time to explain who each character was if you started her books out of order, like I did. For some that have read her books, it may be redundant; however, for those of us who have not read her books, it helps us connect with all characters since each book can be read as a standalone and gives us a side of all characters to truly enjoy the story.
Kaden and Ashley are BF who want more than just friendship, but guilt from Kaden's past and Ashley's stubbornness keep them from progressing forward. She has a son, Tristan to think about too; however, Kaden and him have a bond that makes your heart melt. Ashley will not accept any help whatsoever from anyone so how little things get slid in are too funny.
UFC training has never looked so good except when you read about Kaden. I love what they did for the kids though. Speaking of kids, I love the closeness of some of the little kids and the ending so does that mean we will see a story down the road on them cause those are going to be some fighting wins with how they act.
You will laugh, cry and want to shake them a few times, but a story worth reading if you believe fighting for love is worth it in the end. I cannot wait to read more on this series or by this author in general.
