This sexy cowboy is out of his element. He doesn’t want commitment, but Jodie Ellison is a force of nature who can’t be ignored.

Jodie Ellison loves wild parties, chaotic fun, and spontaneity in her hometown of Ocean City, Maryland. With her writing career and waitressing job not quite paying the bills, Jodie desperately needs a new roommate and finds herself in a nightmarish situation when her roomie turns out to be a disastrous choice.

The wild and unruly Levi Creed is a little bit rebel and a whole lot of sexy. When he moves in next door to Jodie, things get a bit tumultuous thanks to a squawking parrot and a dangerous fire pit. It seems like Levi’s adorable Texan drawl and perfect body can’t possibly win over Jodie… or can they?

An undeniable chemistry simmers between the unlikely pair. The beach babe and the sexy cowboy soon find themselves asking: Can they tame their wild hearts and commit to the blossoming romance between them?

When I first saw the cover for Wild Hearts I thought of Dustin Lynch for some reason right away and so I had to chuckle in the beginning when a Lynch was given a shot out. See I was on par a little bit. Haha This is book two in the Lines in the Sand series; however, each can be read as a standalone as they are about a different set of characters. For those of us who read Avery and Jesse’s story you get to see them and those two men we love dearly with their antics. I will keep their names quite so you can pick them out whether you read this book or the first book. I would love to see a novella on those two even though it’s a set pair already, but maybe a wedding planner story or really any story.
Jodie is the wild one, is a writer for the horror genre and recently lost her BF as a roomie so until her book is finished and money starts rolling in and her waitressing job, she needs a new roomie to tide her over. Ok, ever hear of the Craig’s list killer. You were lucky with Avery the first time, but to try Craig again you have rocks in your head. Holy crazy chick that I wanted to smack especially when a comment is made about our Cowboy neighbor, Levi. First that is wrong on so many levels and I can say thin walls lady. Sorry venting just like I was reading about the new crazy roomie, but the payback was the icing on the cake. Hilarious is all I will say! Maybe the roomie should end up in one of the upcoming books since you write horror. Wrong, but funny and you will probably agree once you see the antics that occurred.
Levi is our hot Cowboy who came from Texas and dressing like you’re in Texas still in Ocean City is too funny. He has tourist written all over him. While what happened to him is sad, there is one thing that was for the best that was left in Texas is what I will say to avoid spoilers. The fire pit lights us on fire and the parrot is a parrot who drives not only Jodie nuts, but us, but then again without the parrot we would have missed out on some interesting events between Levi and Jodie.
These two each have wild hearts and spirits and could not be more opposite, but you cannot deny the chemistry these two have as a pair. Beach gal and cowboy is one of the reasons on why opposites attract. Plus let’s not forget all the funny we see occur. Wild Hearts are meant to find a HEA too, but can they find a balance together or are they better left galloping away? If you enjoy cowboy or beach stories this book is for you.

A high school English teacher, an author, and a fan of anything pink and/or glittery, Lindsay's the English teacher cliché; she love cats, reading, Shakespeare, and Poe.

She currently lives in her hometown with her husband, Chad (her junior high sweetheart); their cats, Arya, Amelia, Alice, and Bob; and their Mastiff, Henry.

Lindsay's goal with her writing is to show the power of love and the beauty of life while also instilling a true sense of realism in her work. Some reviewers have noted that her books are not the “typical romance.” With her novels coming from a place of honesty, Lindsay examines the difficult questions, looks at the tough emotions, and paints the pictures that are sometimes difficult to look at. She wants her fiction to resonate with readers as realistic, poetic, and powerful. Lindsay wants women readers to be able to say, “I see myself in that novel.” She wants to speak to the modern woman’s experience while also bringing a twist of something new and exciting. Her aim is for readers to say, “That could happen,” or “I feel like the characters are real.” That’s how she knows she's done her job.

Lindsay's hope is that by becoming a published author, she can inspire some of her students and other aspiring writers to pursue their own passions. She wants them to see that any dream can be attained and publishing a novel isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
