Blurb

Every small town has that one family that's more savage than civilized. The ones that are more myth and legend than man. In Old Settlers, Oklahoma that's the Bomar boys. Wild, reckless and vicious, they skirt the line of criminal and trip over it more often than not. They are their own punchline: white trash but proud beyond compare. Dirty and dangerously sexy, it's best to steer clear of them or else risk your life... and your heart. These are their stories.

Colt Bomar is a bastard. A dirty, violent piece of white trash, he makes no apologies for who and what he is. He's never cared what anyone thinks of him and he cares even less about trying to be a better kind of man... until her.

She's everything he's not. Good, sweet, gentle, she's an angel that brightens his dark existence. But he's seen the kind of destruction a man like him can wreak and he intends to protect her from that, from him, if it's the only good thing he ever does.

Skylar Holland is no angel. Angels don't lust after the bad-tempered boy next door when they're involved with another man. They don't dream about having the rough hands and sinful mouth of a guy that snaps and snarls at them all over their body. And that's what she's wanted from Colt since the moment the troubled Bomar boy said they were nothing but friends.

Friends? With a man that makes her blood boil and her heart melt? No, she wants more. She wants everything. And she's not about to apologize for going after what she knows they both want. Forever.

Can he overcome his past to give her the future he knows she deserves? or is he doomed to repeat the sins of his father by dragging her down into the darkness with him? And if she treads into the shadows to win him will she even still be the woman he wants when they come out the other side?

*No Apologies is the second book in the Bomar Boys series but can be read as a stand-alone. Each book features one couple and a HEA but do build on each other so they are best read in order.

**Warning** This book contains explicit language, sexual scenes and violence. Though not depicted, mentions of abuse are key to the storyline and can be a trigger for some.

BLOGS REVIEW

This is book 2 in the Bomar Boys series and book 1 does not have to be read before reading this book. Yes, it continues on a story to a point, but it is about a different brother; however, you will not be lost reading this book without reading the other book. You will though want to go back and read about Cash and Jemma in book 1. Book 2 is about Colt and Skylar.
Skylar is quite, no holds bar with what is on her mind, strong and a fighter when it comes to her health and those she loves. Colt is the bad boy and has to fight to survive in this world in many ways. He has a side that no one sees, not even his twin, Cash. For whatever reason, only Skylar sees this.
Skylar is his angel to his devil life he must live. She agrees as does he with this. In the end, she was able to set him free to be loved the way he always should have been. Colt has never apologized for anything in his life so after many circumstances that evolved in this story, just hearing it was once was enough to make your heart swoon that he was able to say it in his own way. His apologizes are heartfelt and not just want you want to hear. Colt is a very talented tattoo artist and Skylar is a talented hair stylist. What is funny is the name of their business kind of match their stories. There was a fine line between these two for years, until a circumstance brought them to their senses on what they have been fighting. While these circumstances had many split ends, in the end they were able to trim them out and be free at last. Free from what you ask? Read the book cause you may see some trigger points (not in graphic detail, it hints at it for those who don't like those books so it safe to read), but you see the love and fight that these characters have to go through to survive in life.
Although we ended up knowing how the story goes for Cash/Jemma and Colt/Skylar, the story that involves the whole Bomar boy families is not over and I cannot wait to read more on this. As I was reading I knew that a story for the older Bomar boy, Remy had a story with Rachel, the girl who had a story in it self on how she acted while working for Skylar, but boy did I not expect what I seen on the synopsis of the upcoming book. Wowzer, we know there is suspense coming on who is involved, but I did not expect that. I thought maybe Remy and Rachel shared the same traumatic experience growing up. Boy was I wrong and I can't wait to read this story cause not only will we find out more about the continuing story with the Bomar boys, but we will still see glimpses of Cash/Colt as well and how they are progressing in their relationship with the girls.
