That noun sums up Ghost and what his life has become with painful precision. He is barely living, merely existing but never thriving. There wasn’t much that could pull him from the darkness he willingly inhabits…except one thing. Her. She is the reason he’s done what he’s done, and his life has become what it has become. The SUSPENSE was killing us wondering who Ghost was?! Wow, this is truly going to be one of the hardest reviews EVER, cause inquiring minds what to know who Ghost was? Where you right on who was he? All I can say is as I was reading this much-anticipated story from LLV, I was like crap, why can’t I remember who this is going to be, I knew I knew it, but couldn’t pin point his name. As you turn each page, you are still trying to figure out if my thought is heading in the right direction, then we see his wife and child (blond light bulb still not going off) and it was driving me nuts cause I knew I knew who Ghost finally was and for the life me of me I was stuck on his name, on the tip of my tongue. I was ready to go back to each book to find it. Then ahhh, it was revealed and I walk like WOW!! LLV you got me cause we all knew he had a story, but never did I imagine it to be this painful, heartbreaking with an added laughter and love bonus. The suspense was well worth it!

I am going to say this though, you do not have to read her books in order to read another book in this series; however, I highly recommend that you read the other books before reading this story. Sure, you can read this story and enjoy it, but all the puzzle pieces to the mystery and suspense of Ghost are found in the other books and makes this story worth the second chance at love and starting over. The Hype needs to be read before this one is how I will best say this. Five books explain hints at the five years before this epic reveal.

How far would you go to protect your family? Blood or the family you decide? There are some powerful moments in this book and you are hooked from page one of the torture endured by Ghost until the very end of this story. You may tear up a time or two while reading this as well. What would you do if a Ghost re-surfaced after all this time? You don’t want my answer. LOL This is one of the vaguest reviews ever, but you will not find out who Ghost, Mrs. Ghost or child is until you read this book. So, what are you waiting for? Grab this book and get ready to blow your mind speechless. Trust me, you will love Ghost after this for those of you who wondered how he could do what he did. If Lani wasn’t already your one-click author, she will be now! You’ll be like me and not even read the synopsis of her book, you just start reading. She is that good and ups it each time. How I don’t know, but keep them coming from all your series.
