The Shepard Boys will leave you ignoring the real world and wanting to stay in your little bubble to find out how this story ends. Holy head spin in the prologue, you are left with your mouth gaping open and wanting to know how is this possible and real? Know that it is very possible and real and it happens more than we know in the real world.
Maverick has known the Shepard boys all her life and loved them just as long, but how do you know who to love when both boys leave you feeling different kinds of love? We get to know Kael (the right one and good boy) and Killian (the wrong one and the bad boy) and we see the story of how each one of them want to be with Maverick. Insert another head spin with these brothers, meet Maverick's sister, Jillian. Two sisters and Two brothers what more could go wrong in this story, you say? We see it all-Lies, deceit, love, family drama and a triangle of sorts.
This story is not just a love triangle, we see many twists that I did not see coming especially when it came to the family drama. Yikes, think this is the only thing that made me want Maverick to choose, Killian. Maverick has to choose if she will be with Killian again after all the truth comes out or if she will stay with Kael. Mary Lou, her BF is amazing and helps Maverick see the light on what was in front of her all her life. I so want to say more in this review, but that would be giving you the inside scoop and you ain't getting it from me.
I chose after being torn for awhile on this, but in the end I love how it ended and am so glad this was who she selected to love fully. Epilogue was swoon worthy and so much needed for Swan since she needed a refresher on this one (lips are sealed on what it was). So you decide while reading this, should Maverick choose Kael or Killian? TEAM Kael or TEAM Killian.
