Unfolding Desires by Kristy Love
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is book 3 in the series, but you do not need to read the others to understand the story. Though you will want to go back and read the other books cause this whole series deals with sensitive topics and you get to really feel with these stories that are told.
Roxie oh Roxie, we knew you were a spitfire and this book showed us just that. Wow, I did not expect the turn of events that led her to a heartbreak and the impact that she had from seeing her as a second character in book 2. Shocker was the understatement for what she walks in on! It's one thing to find this out, but for the tables to be turned that has got to be even harder on your self esteem as well. After this shocker, Roxie didn't let love in and kept to one night stands. She did the walking afterwards until one man left her yearning for more. He walks away and goes back to where he lives. She never did get over that one night of feeling and kept this hidden pretty well. Insert another shocker six years later and oh my, your heart drops until you find out the real situation.
David was like a Roxie until she inserted that spitfire she has on David. He shouldn't feel what he does, but something about her pulls him to want to pursue this further. Love that he never corrected the situation when they first see other after all that time. Just when he gets through to Roxie and life seems to be going where he wants it too, a bomb turns his life upside down and although Roxie is beyond there for him he pushes her away. Not a very smart move there David. Thankfully, sister, Mia is the wise one and gets a push with these two.
You will see the desires unfold in this story and the hurt that they both have to overcome to get where they are. There was yet another twist that still leaves David a partial person, but Roxie is helping any way she can with this. My heart breaks with this story that is going to unfold in book 4. My- if our hearts didn't break in books 1-3, your heart will be shattered in this upcoming book about Mia.
