This is the first book in the Moonshine Task Force series and you are going to be hooked as soon as you start reading about Renegade AKA Ryan and Whitney. With this said, each will be a standalone; however, the task force story will continue. I can say though based upon this story, you will not have to read these books in order to understand their story though.
Whitney is a strong and let's say nutty women. She is finally becoming her own women after her divorce from Stephen and her business is going well. The only thing she is failing at is her one PEW PEW! drunken moment. OMG that was hilarious!
Ryan is ten years younger than Whitney, her brothers BF and his partner on the force. His teenage dream is coming true, getting a night with Whitney. This one night changes everything and Renegade is going to use his military name to show Whitney that age is just a number and his feelings have always been tucked away for her. I can honestly say that even if that little Pew Pew stick wasn't positive these two still would have gotten together.
Her ex was a mistake and fate kept her sticks negative thank goodness. That moment of run-in was epic though. Score one for Renegade and Whitney. You will laugh, gasp and scream when a twist is thrown our way and be anxiously waiting to see the outcome. It's definitely a heart-beater. You will be hooked from beginning to end with this book. Once again LB has delivered a stellar read (wonder if this is where the name came from-Stella and R for Ryan/Rengade) . Probably not, but I just realized it matched the story.
Cannot wait to read about Trevor AKA Tank's story. It is going to be Blazing! Ooh if you read Renegade I am sure you will agree. Haven't read this yet? Grab this baby cause the PEW PEW alone is hilarious.
