Blurb

This wasn’t supposed to happen.
But it did.
This wasn’t supposed to be my life.
But it was.

I was just a typical girl, living a typical life. Nothing was out of the ordinary until tragedy threw me into a turnstile I couldn’t see my way out of. That was, until him.

I never could’ve imagined my heart falling the way it did. Hard, fast, and with unbounding beauty.

The only problem?
He was off limits.
Forbidden.

But he became my everything, and I became his, so we risked it all. It was only a matter of time until I realized that our risk came with unimaginable consequences.

My name is Camellia Hale and his is David Andrews, and this is our love story.

Blogs Review

Holy smokes this was Forbidden, but oh so good! I should have known that E.K. was going to give us some sensitive topics in this story, but when she does she makes sure to give it her all so we can learn about the topic, see the point of why it occurs and why you may or may not agree with the topics. All I will say is while this is forbidden and wrong in so many ways, this one in general was oh so right and I loved this story!
Cam AKA Camellia has endured a tragic change all of a sudden. One day it’s a normal life the next its an uphill battle of events. Your heart breaks for Cam over and over. Kroy loved her, but sometimes love isn’t enough. Their bond was not the bond that Cam and David endured. We see how much Bullying, loss and doing harm to self needs to have more awareness on with teens and adults too.
David oh David, this was a tough one. At first you wanted to hate him and say, “what is wrong with you?” but…I cannot help but love him for his actions and how the consequences were dealt. My heart broke a few times, but oh boy does your heart beak four years down the road in the story.  It breaks, but heals all at once and I believe it will only make sense after you read the story. Sometimes life doesn’t go as planned and sometimes things that are off limits just make sense when it shouldn’t.
I will say that while many may not agree with this story, if you put aside the sensitive topic, it truly is a great love story. Would I recommend this, TOTALLY! Your emotions are tested with this one and you become them and feel what they endured and at no time did it feel like it was being taken advantage of. If this is your first book by this author and you enjoyed it, be sure to grab her other books cause I recently read her Crave books and it was just as deep and contains sensitive topics that should be more explored and brought awareness too. This is one author that captures your attention from beginning to end.
