Review: Nickel

Nickel Nickel by Winter Travers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nickel is mine, I am claiming him! This is the first book in this series of the Fallen Lord MC and we see the MC side of things and how Nickel wants to do something different (better) than what they have going on now. Except…. he is starting to see things that he didn’t know the Prez was dealing with and while we get some answers in this story, it will come out more in Pipe’s book. There’s a side that we get to see on Nickel when it comes to Karmen. He has the patience of a saint for being a bad boy! He waits a year for Karmen to come to her senses. OK, the help of Nikki was a push for Karmen as well.
Karmen has been Nickel’s grandmother’s nurse for the past year and he brings treats too just to get any moment he can with Karmen. She is the shy girl and he is the bad boy, but she needs to step out of the box and forget her past and see that Nickel will protect her and prove that while they may be complete opposites that they belong together. You may at times want to shake Karmen, just saying with some of her actions, but the hot scenes cause you to overlook her shaking moments.
This story was the perfect start to a good series that is coming and we see the twist that are just starting. Cora is a character that we meet and I’m hoping we get the secrets to her story soon. Nikki, you have us laughing, but something tells me your story is going to feel like we are being beat with a, Pipe at times.
