Title: Max's Redemption
Author: L. Wilder
Genre: Romantic Suspense Standalone
Release Date: November 7, 2017
Sometimes a goodbye turns into a second chance.
Max:
Harper Campbell was beautiful, smart, and innocent.
I’d loved her even before I knew I did.
There was just one problem. She was my best friend’s sister.
She was off-limits in ways I couldn’t begin to explain, but I couldn’t help myself.
We were just kids when we fell in love—young and carefree. The world was right there at our fingertips. Then tragedy struck, and I felt I was to blame.
Knowing I would be a constant reminder of the heartbreak I’d caused, I did the only thing I thought I could—I left.
Harper:
I’d loved him for as long as I could remember, and losing him almost broke me.
I tried to move on.
I tried to forget.
But how do you forget the one person you loved with all your heart and soul?
I never thought I’d see him again, but with one unexpected encounter, he was back.
I never believed in second chances. I’d always thought there was no way to go back and fix the mistakes we’d made, but I learned that it wasn’t about changing the past. Second chances are for proving that we can be better—even after we’ve failed.
Max’s Redemption is a standalone, second chance romance that will pull at your heart strings, and while it isn’t an MC, it will still take you a wild ride. So, hold on ladies, here comes Max. Intended for reader 18 on older for explicit language.

Leslie Wilder grew up in a small town in West Tennessee. A country girl at heart, she’s always thought that life is too short, but she had no idea how short it really was until her brother passed away in 2014. She’s always been an avid reader, loving the escape only a great book can give, and wondered if she had what it took to write one of the wild romances she’d come to adore. With the support of her family and friends, she published Inferno: A Devil Chaser’s MC, one year after her brother’s death. With him in mind, she fulfilled her lifetime dream of writing. Since then, she’s completed the Devil Chaser’s Series and continued on with the Satan’s Fury MC Series. She has so many stories in her head, and can’t wait to share each and every one.
Leslie has been blown away by the support of her readers, appreciating every message, review, and encouraging word she’s received over the past year. She looks forward to continuing this journey with them for years to come.

BLOGS REVIEW

A fantastic read and I was excited to find out that I would be able to see these characters in a previous book and that they may or may not be seen in one of the MC series by this author. You will not only fall in love with Max and Harper in this story, but it will leave you wanting to go back and grab, Nitro as this is the story of Nitro and Tristen who we see in this book. Your emotions are tested in this story though, you will cry, laugh and be like, “NO!” you cannot twist it this way or that way.
Max and Harper have known each other for years and her brother, Brody is Max’s BF. Harper has always had a crush on Max, but Max never saw her that way until a scene changes this. I love the bond that they had throughout the story and you truly feel for both of these characters before and after an event that has you shaking your kindle chanting, “this cannot be happening”. Your heart breaks right along with them. Fast forward ten years and you can see these two are still struggling with their feelings, more so Max as he still blames himself. Running into Max after all this time has not only Harper’s heart pumping, but ours as well. It won’t be easy, but these two know that this is their chance at the second chance for them to get out what happened all those years ago and why he pushed her away. Her heart was never over Max and vice versa. Max was always the protector from a younger age to the present and being a Marine can definitely change you so while you want to hate him, you cannot. You will see why he did what he did.
I highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys a second chance romance, dealing with loss, or a touch of MC in a story. You will not be disappointed and I cannot wait to read more from this author.
