Olivia Kelley

Olivia Kelley grew up in Boston the oldest of six children. After her first son was born prematurely at only twenty-four weeks, she became an active advocate for parents of disabled children, sharing her own experiences with others. Sadly, he passed away in 2005 at the age of only fourteen. She has a firm belief that you live your life as a lesson. Learn from it and let it mold you into the best person that you can be.

While caring for her son, she turned to reading to escape the reality and stresses of her everyday life. Up until recently, she spent years working corporate America and the Marketing and Public Relations for many different authors in the romance community. I had the pleasure of meeting K I Lynn recently at a signing and I so wish this book was available then for purchase. I did get the Bend Anthology though so that was a plus. This was my first read by this author and the co-author and it certainly won’t be the last. Oh, the Cockiness in this book is HOT and hilarious, but there are some sad moments too.

Everly crushed on her brother, Cam’s BF, Niko since she was a little girl. I will say never doubt a child statement cause you will see her comment to her dad was spot on. She comes home after a recent breakup and let me say that was one breakup that needed to happen and you shall agree after reading this, trust me. Her crazy, BF, Alyson convinces her to go to a bar. Oh my, it is hilarious, but Everly may have known what she was doing, but a certain someone named, Niko did not. OK, let me just state that I get people change when they get older, but there had to be something that that would make Niko see who the girl was. Um, yes, her name was not Everly and it is even more hilarious that not him or Cam put two and two together.

Niko is cocky and that is saying it mildly. He has women throwing themselves at him and he has that firefighter mind. He never see’s the same girl twice, but this girl is going to have him seeing doubles is how I will say this. She turns his world upside down and you may never look at post-it notes the same. The pranks these fireman pull is hilarious and men really are blind sometimes cause the clues were there and it took the newbie to see it.

The passion and tension between these two were sure intense. She didn’t trust due to her past and Niko sure as heck worked for her trust. This is definitely one book to grab in the new year of 2018 or maybe nine months into the year (say like late summer, early fall when you need to cool off) haha. It will rock your world the way Niko’s was rocked. If you think their tension is off the charts um, could I just say that the tension and hate between Cam and Alyson make you want to know why they hate each other so much and with a passion. I hope we see Cam’s story down the road.
