Title: Hey, Whiskey
Author: Kaylee Ryan
Genre: New Adult
Release Date: January 9, 2018

Blurb

I’m over this year, and I’m over relationships.  I’ve learned that the only person you can count on in life is yourself.  Moving forward, I’m living for me.  Working toward standing on my own two feet, that’s my goal.  Funny how meeting him changed my path.

It’s been years since I’ve been back in this small town of West Virginia for more than a day or two.  Spending time here brings back a lot of fond memories.  When I stopped by an old friend’s bar, I was expecting to grab a drink and catch up.  What I didn’t expect was her.

We share an undeniable attraction, but we continue to fight it.

Until one night in Vegas changes everything.

Blogs Review

When will people learn that Whiskey, Beer and Vegas don’t go hand in hand all the time? Haha These Rhett men have you falling in love and who couldn’t love Grandpa Rhett. If you’re not a drinker, you may just be wanting to drink a beer or take a shot of Whiskey with this story of not only Saylor and Rhett, but with the story that we get with the secondary characters and their families businesses.
Saylor was a mess and not in a bad way, she had a horrible childhood, her ex was a douche and she is now jobless thanks to him since she worked at his company. She makes a move across country and meets Rhett. Whether the reason for their meeting, fate or what not, they were meant to meet. As was the meeting of Jake and Molly. See not all is bad in her life as luck was on her side that day.
Rhett may have it all. One Rhett (dad) in the ale business, one Rhett (grandpa) in the Whiskey business and a family who didn’t let money ruin them or their love for each other. OK, with the exception of the two older Rhett men being stubborn as heck, but Baby Rhett as I call him to distinguish them apart just might bring them closer and get a second chance at life as a whole. The family story is about self-discovery and forgiveness is how I will say this best without spoilers.
The banter, tension (good and bad) and love that these characters had was worth not only the sweet moments, but the heartbreaking moments as well. They may have woken up with a mistake, but Rhett will stop at nothing to show Saylor he means business and that the feelings are not fake. Not only does the story of Saylor and Rhett make the book, but the family business and relationship as well as Jake and Molly make the book. If they don’t have their own book, they should. I’ll have to research other books by this author and find out. This book calls for a shot of Whiskey, but you will fall drunk in love with this book, trust me on that.
