Ooh oh, I think our devices may just explode with this read! Mmm, I don’t know what was hotter the Dirty Deeds fantasy or the Dirty Deeds. I say both. Oh, don’t you worry it wasn’t all fire, well OK, more than one type of FIRE in this story, but you have a story that kinda breaks your heart for Aly and then the added suspense just keeps you turning the page waiting to see how this story is going to transpire.
Aly and Emmett have been friends since they were babies, but it wasn’t always an easy friendship when you had to compete to be seen, well that is for Aly cause Emmett always got what he wanted when he wanted this. He may be a playboy, but he hid quite a bit that his friend, Drew called him out on. I love when the not so smart guy is really smart. Drew will have you laughing and then chuckling some more with a prank or two he pulls on Emmett.
Aly may not have ever expected to be back in Emmett’s life and some secrets that are revealed just may put them on non-speaking terms again, but you see the fault and plus in both sides. I love that it was dual POV so that we felt the emotions of both and saw the before and now from both of them. This is one ride you that you definitely need to saddle up on and run to read. The tension between these two is off the charts and we see that while Aly was miserable as a child that she became a smart and successful women and Emmett that comment with her BF from your childhood may have had us think back to when we were young and our parents said, “if a boy picks on you, he likes you”. Yep, if only Aly knew the comment when she was younger the deeds could have happened much sooner. Emmett’s brother, Julian has me intrigued and I would love to read his book. This is the first book that I have read by this author and it certainly won’t be the last.
