One wielded all the power, while the other was desperate to prove their worth.
Layla
Being the CEO of the most powerful tech company on the West Coast means I’
ve fought tooth and nail to climb the corporate ladder. I demand perfection
and control over every aspect of my life. A business trip to Las Vegas leaves me
with a 150 pound lap dog intent on pleasing me. The only problem is he may just run away with my heart.
Danny
I’ve always been more of a follower than a leader, so joining the military
seemed like a good choice. Then I became a Navy Seal to gain some direction,
but instead became the butt of everyone’s jokes. That is, until Aphrodite walked
across the room in her cherry red Louboutin’s, shattering my world completely.
Now the only person I intend to follow is her.
Only time with tell which one will win when the roles are reversed.
Authors’ Notes: This standalone novel contains situations of power play in which the heroine takes the lead. Are you ready for a strong woman to take control?

Raised all over the country, I'm a interesting mix of East Coast meets West Coast with a little bit of Southern thrown in, just for good measure. I married a sexy man in uniform who let me spawn and am now raising a mutinous army of hell raisers that I created myself, all while he defends our country. I drink too much coffee until it's late enough to drink too much wine and am sexually frustrated for your freedom. If you see me online, I'm probably sitting in a closet, hiding from my kids.

Fluent in sarcasm, Supernatural, and song lyrics, I like talking to people and finding what makes them tick, though that probably has to do with the Psychology degree. I’m up before the sun because my kids don’t sleep, chugging tea and coffee to keep my eyes open and my brain semi functional. Being married to a man in uniform means I’ve lived a lot of places, survived seeing my husband for half the amount of time I’ve been married, and spent a lot of time raising my kids alone.
I love to write messed up psychos with lots of angst, happily ever afters that have to be worked for. Women with sass and backbone, men with a twisted hero complex and the need to control are my favorite to read as well as write.
HOSTED BY:
Power is book four in the SEAL’ed series and while they can be read as a standalone you will see that while Seals take their job very seriously, outside of work is a different story when it comes to Honor, Love, Fate, Power and Faith. Each story is different and brings more “Power” (pun intended) than the last. Just when you couldn’t imagine how this duo authors were going to up the characters after our Twin Tornadoes made a landing, we get a “Vegas Quake” and it was worth the wait for Danny’s story.
Oh Mama! Dominance role reversal at it’s finest-Man it’s good to see a man fall for once. Those “Daddy” stories ain’t got nothing on this “Mama”. Danny AKA Newb since he’s the newbie of the Seal team is a lost soul. His only family is the Seal family so seeing Katie (from book one) take him under her wings is heartfelt. Man do those men give him a hard time (worse than in the prior books). Layla and Danny meet under some funny (OK not funny if damaged occurred, but it didn’t) circumstances. Layla is the “Power” of her encounters. She orders, you follow. She must fight to keep her position of “Power” in her business and based upon her past she decides she will be in control. You don’t like it, leave. From the moment these two meet there is some explosive chemistry. It won’t be easy on Danny between the way the interactions are with his team and with Layla. You feel the tragedy and broken pieces of both these characters.
Love that we got to see how this Seal family and the girls are doing and that we got to share in the wedding of Katie and Logan! (Don’t worry if you have not read the other books, you won’t feel lost!) In each book we get laughter, tears and joy (OK and the hotness moments too!) Justin’s up next in Faith and based upon the snippets we see we are gonna get the feeling of all the prior titles in this story. I cannot wait!
