Fearless King is book four in the Kings of Rittenhouse series and can be read a standalone. This is my first book by this author and in the series and while you see secondary characters you are never felt like you are missing out on anything. Well, except the mystery that surrounds Colm (Liv’s brother and Ford’s BF and team mate). I’m anxiously awaiting his story as I’m hoping he will redeem himself cause I kinda want to shake him at times in this story. It will be interesting to see the how/why of emotions and actions that is for sure.
Liv and Ford grew up together seeing as he is Colm’s BF and now team mate. While Liv has always crushed on Ford, his lines are starting to blur. Just when it may seem like they should take that forbidden step something happens that changes that pace. Ford kept his distance, but he is back to claim what is meant to be his. It won’t be easy with so many obstacles in their way. Liv is strong but has so much on her plate. Does she live up to expectations and what she believes is best for her future or set herself free is the question you will want to find out when reading this?
You will feel the emotions from not only a tragedy, but from Liv, Ford and even Colm (to a point until we get his story). You will love some of the secondary characters. This is a slow burn read that makes busy travel a little hurdle in the way, but nothing cookies and a phone (texts) couldn’t fix. I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more by this author.
