Review: Sparrow

Sparrow Sparrow by Emma Nichole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sparrow is book one in the Own the Skies series and from the moment you read the prologue you know that you are in for a heartbreaking, but good story. Amelia (Mills) and Grayson were young when they got separated by life, but that Sparrow necklace would keep their memory and love for each other alive while he deployed and she moved. Their life events spent apart were not easy and that is saying this mildly. We know that life isn't easy, but the things these two endure is heartbreaking. This story touches on many topics and makes the story that much more real. I can only hope that if someone experienced one of these topics that this helped heal or bring closure to this. This was southern town living and Mills going back home was the right time. Through all the bad things that occurred between the two of them I truly believe that this allowed them to get a special someone and to allow their relationship to be where it is at today. This story tugs at your emotions and leaves you wanting to know more about their friends Nora and Case.
