I walk down the path to the main resort and as I pass by one
of the villas, I see one of the attendants leaving and the most gorgeous girl
standing in the door. Her blonde hair glows in the sunlight as her slender
frame barely take up any space in the doorway. She seems to have a sadness
about her, but how can anyone be sad in a place like this? Oh yeah being lonely
and having no one. That’s me, but why is she looking so sad. When I glance in
her direction, I notice she lowers her head, but I see her eyes raise just
enough where she is still looking in my direction. I smirk to myself and
continue walking by.
I find the bar by the pool get my whiskey from the bartender
and find a seat in a quiet corner where I can see everyone and have no one
behind me, the curse of who I am I always make sure I have my back to a wall
for my own security. I see the target before they see me.
This place is beautiful, tropical and buzzing with sexuality
with the sun setting and the dim lighting and I’m alone. I don’t even want to
think about what’s going on in the villa with the others.
A little while later I glance up over the rim of my glass
and notice the girl from earlier walking in, not paying any attention to her
surroundings while walking up to the bar. Like she was there on a mission. With
glass in hand, she turns to look around and spots me in my corner. When she
notices me looking at her, she turns away from me, finishes her drink, gets
another one and walks out of the bar. There is something that draws my
attention to her, beyond the desolate look on her face. Something
familiar.

Blogs Review
Love Worth Saving is a novella in the Saved by Love series and can be read as a standalone if you wish; however, I think you would connect better with Jackson if you read the prior books in the series even though he is a secondary character in those books. He has ties to the main characters and you will get a better understanding of the mafia Family side and just how much heart he has for his family and why this trip was necessary for all characters.
Jackson is always saving others and now it is his turn to know that he is capable and worthy of finding love. Most girls just want him for his money or run for the hills when they know he's the main Mafia guy. You will see though that for all his Mafia ties he has a heart of gold and does right by all. He had a love that was whisked away while he was younger and never truly let that go. The irony is that love finds you when you least expect this. Who would have thought being in the Maldives would have fate intervening.
Rissa is the last person that both expected to find was the mysterious girl on the island. You will feel the passion these two still hold onto even though they were separated at a young age and you will feel the tugging their hearts endure knowing that this cannot go beyond the island based upon both of their Mafia families. You will love how easily Rissa connects with these secondary characters. They always say that bad things happen to good people when the timing is right and couldn't be more perfect for these two. Yes, it stunk to call off your wedding, but better that you found out now and not later and all I can say is your heart beats and melts when it comes to that one phone call that can be the gamer changer for these two.
Love isn't easy and is especially true for Jackson and Rissa based upon their Family Blood ties! This story goes to show you that no matter the tragedy you endure in life when the timing is right you will see that Love is Worth Saving.
