Merciless is intense and you will keep page turning wanting to know where this story is going and what is going to happen to your tummy (somersault or belly ache) and it’s full of suspense. The connection from just a look, cruelty, soft side, cold-hearted, and dominance that we see from Carter and then the sad, strong and defiant somewhat submissive Aria has you captivated all the way to the end. Progress has been made from his little Songbird and we start seeing a side of Cross that we start agreeing with, but we must wait to see where this dark thrill story is going to go from not only the family business, but with these two and how the other Cross brothers are going to intertwine in the story. I’m excited to see there is more to come. It was nice see glimpses of Daniel (one of the Cross brothers) if you read Possessive. You do not have to read any other books to read this story though. Once again Willow has hooked us with her alpha men that are sexy, dangerous and captures our hearts while we patiently wait for the next book in line.
