This is book 3 in the over forty series and each can be read as a standalone though some may enjoy it better read in order. We get Brut’s story who we met in book 2 (Midlife Crisis) as he is Hank’s brother. Whoever said your too old for dreams should think again cause its never to late for your dreams to come true. Better late than never, right?! Brut and Lily have a painful past and they pretty much have steered clear of each other over the years, but a little fun and games and let’s not forget dessert may change this. While your heart does break for these two, it also heals with some much-needed laughter between these two and the secondary characters.
I’ve enjoyed all three of these over forty books, but this one was the icing on the cupcakes of life. You will fall in love with all characters and even after reading all three books I’m still holding out hope that the younger secondary characters will get a story. This story goes to show you that your past mistakes can be fixed in time when the time is right. LB puts reality and issues that we can relate to and shows us that your never to old to find love.
