Do. Not. Touch.
Alice Ryder came with more warning signs than a museum exhibit.
Under twenty-one. Best friend’s baby sister. Heart-broken.
I was only supposed to keep an eye on her and keep my hands to myself.
But her sunshine sucked me in.
Why did she have to want me? Why did she have to want me to save her?
I wasn’t her savior. I wasn’t the prince in her fairytale.
I was only the asshole in shining armor.
Ally
For some, heartbreak becomes a habit.
Losing so much had taught me that it’s easier to just give up the things you care about before they are taken.
Because you can’t lose what you don’t have.
I gave up the warmth of the sun and sand hoping that the cold, snowy mountains of Colorado would be able to numb whatever feelings I had left and bury the pieces of my heart under the frost.
And then I met Emmett Jameson - the King of the Mountain and my brother’s best friend.
He was cold and controlling - treating me like the child that I wasn’t.
He was everything that promised to break what was left of me.
And I needed him for it.
My shattered heart would be safe wanting someone like him.
Then again, heartbreak was my bad habit.

HOSTED BY:
Ally is trading sun and sand for snow and mountain view and leaving behind her cousin Tyler, but she is going to get to be with her twin siblings, Channing and Chance who are professional snowboarders.
The Ally attraction looks like a beach barbie funny cause this is what she loved whereas, her siblings were opposite of her. Your heart breaks for Dylan and the events that led up to this tragedy that changes Ally. She left behind the King of Surf to being sucked into the Pizza boy (kidding) really, he’s the King of the Mountain. Those names for the snowaholes are hilarious. Emmet may be known as an A-hole, but his heart with the Tyler surprise shows that he has a soft side to him when he wants it to be shown. What do you do when your heart is broken, but the person who makes it all better is non-other than your brothers BF? Snowboard, right? Wrong, Ally and Emmett really keep you On the Edge seeing if the sun will shine on the mountains or if you crash and become numb from the cold. Game on!
We see secondary characters that we really want to know their story and what the past or future had to do with some of them. Tammy and Nick plus her results have us On Edge and then add into the storm, Jessa and Chance and we need more of the Winter Games series. I didn’t read the book one of this series and from what you see of those characters you can follow along just fine without having to read these in order.
At times you'll be saying the f-word and then the other f-word reading Ally and Emmett. The youngest Ryder was a thrill ride, but I have a feeling Chance’s story will have us tumbling down the mountain.
