Review: Hockey Karma

Hockey Karma Hockey Karma by Howard Shapiro
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is a sequel to the Hockey Saint and that took place ten years earlier. Fast forward ten years plus into adulthood and Jeremiah AKA Jake needs to realize that you can't be on top of the world especially in sports for your whole life. Tom who has always kinda hidden in Jake's shadow realizes that he is truly on his own in a way. Do you think you have the courage to change your ways?
Tom was in for a shock of his life with a blast from the past. That was awesome! Jake may be heading for a foul, but Tom definitely scored a goal in my book in this story. Jake must realize that Karma has a way to bite you and he is getting paid for this when it comes to his career and family.
In the final book we continue to see the author tell us a story that may affect real life people as well as keeping us intrigued on how this story will play out. When reading a graphic novel you can read the story and look at the pictures or you can look at the pictures and picture a story in your head then read the story to see if you got what the author was portraying in this scene. While the other two books in this series are geared towards YA, this one is definitely geared towards grown ups or college bound adults.
