Blurb

Strength is born during the moments that are meant to break us.

Monsters didn’t just exist in nightmares.

They were real; they lived among us. As the sole witness to a brutal murder, Ryann Sinclair knew that better than anyone.

He’d been burned once, and Cashel Donovan swore it was the last time.

Until Ryann Sinclair walked back into his life.

She was fiercely protective of her heart, and he was hell-bent on protecting her.

Never one to back down from a challenge, he was determined to break her.

Just so he could be the one to put her back together.

Cash’s POV

“Stay.”

It’s uttered so quietly, I assume she’s dreaming. Without turning to look at her, I take another step out of the room.

“Please.”

There is a desperate sound in her tone that seizes my heart and traps the air in my lungs. Turning back, I go to the side of the bed and crouch down, so I’m eye-level with her. Softly, I push the hair off her forehead and hold her gaze. All her defenses are down. If a person’s eyes are windows to their soul, I feel like I’m seeing into the depths of her. Seeing all the broken pieces.

“All right, baby girl, I’ll stay.”

BLOGS REVIEW

Fantastic debut novel by this author!! Though that is putting it mildly, but I can't find a word yet to describe it better. From page one you will be hooked to the very end. The beginning does have a dark side to it, but without this you truly would not feel what Ryann experienced throughout her life. I loved that we got to see snippets of various POV's, though those POV's we did see on some secondary characters were crazy and that is another mild description after you read the crazy on this.
Ryann and Cash knew each other when they were younger and many years have separated them. Who knew the world was so small that they would see each other again? The Frisbee Kiss memory will stay with us and them. Cash can see that Ryann is broken and he will do anything in his power to break her down further to heal her once and for all. Ryann is tough and boy does she know how to handle herself with the psycho's she encounters.
Ryann and Cash will leave you thinking about this story days later, trust me. There is so much more that could be said in this review, but I kinda feel like that would be giving away some details and I do not want to do that. I think you should experience this story without spoilers.
In this story you will see heartache, a stalking obsession, abuse, suspense, deceit and just how far someone would go to protect those they love. Some of you may not like reads like this, but it tells a story of just how far someone would go to try to destroy someone as well as what someone who has dealt with abuse or stalking experiences. It leaves you sad in the beginning and happy in the end. Truly a second chance at romance in multiple ways (love and life itself). I highly recommend this read!
