Title: Hothead
An Irresistible Series Standalone
Author: Stella Rhys
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: April 3, 2018

Blurb

He's the hottest player in Major League Baseball, the most notorious playboy in all of Manhattan...

And my fake fiancé for the next three months.

I was drunk-dialing my ex the night I met him.

Six-three, sexy as sin and so incredibly rude I could smack the asshole smirk right off his face. Long story short, we got off to a bad start. But when the tabloids interpret our sparring as Drew Maddox "groveling" with a "mystery brunette," his agent presents us both a proposal:

Shacking up as a couple this summer.

It’s an alleged “win-win.” I need to prove to my ex that I'm fine. Drew needs to prove to his team that he's stable. Thanks to his on-field brawling and never-ending lady drama, Drew Maddox has suddenly found himself on the trade block - which means he needs a fast, easy way to show the team that he's settled down.

Hence this fiancé thing.

Our fights are real, our kisses are fake, and thanks to the nonstop heat between us, I’m starting to mix up all my signs. But whether it’s real or fake, there’s one thing I do know:

I’m already addicted.

Author Bio

Stella Rhys is an author of contemporary romance and can't help but write it hot, steamy and borderline filthy (just kidding, it's just flat-out filthy). Writing aside, she lives for coffee, the Knicks, the Yankees and cooking recipes way out of her league. She was born and raised in New York and now lives there with her husband and charmingly entitled fur babies.

Hot enough to blow your device up, hence the title, Hothead! Speaking of Hothead, Drew is an alphahole (alpha and an a-hole), but his soft side gives you tingles. He lives and dreams baseball, but his antics some that you’ll agree makes this publicity stunt proposal insane, addicting and gives this firecracker (Evie) and bad boy a chance to remain on his team and for her to show her ex-douche she’s moving on. Evie is sassy, but real and while she is mourning the loss of her ex and apartment with good reason she is going to stand tall and show him that she is going to win. In the beginning the only thing these two have in common is ten years-him in baseball and her in a relationship that was going nowhere and thank goodness for this, but you will see that the fights may be real between these two and definitely are not publicity stunts, their feelings and actions are tested.
We met these two in Dirty Deeds, but each book is a standalone. You would never know its apart of a series unless you’ve read a prior book. This is the second book I’ve read in this series and by this author and while I will eventually go back and read about the two others that I have not yet read since I started this standalone series from Dirty Deeds, inquiring minds wants to know Iain’s thoughts on the proposal that didn’t go as outlined?? haha He’s dominant in all aspects, yes, I caught that little piece so this ought to be good cause I’m still scratching head on protection or non and really thought it was a twist and wrong read for the wrong character. Iain outside of work is going to be a great story, but not certain I like the girl he’s with based upon her comments on Evie. My inquiring minds will only make sense if you read the story cause I have no other way to word this without a spoiler.
Love the bromance between Emmett and Drew and seeing it continue in this story as well as the sister family/friend going on with Aly and Evie. Whewy, that twist or two given to us was a major win for Evie and loss for her ex-Mike. Holy wowzer totally shocked, but best move ever! Trust is hard especially in Drew and now Evie’s case so can these two fake it (their proposal) or will it be a loss for the Empires to trade Drew? This is one story that hit a homerun out of the park and a must read by this author. I would love to continue seeing Drew/Evie plus Aly/Emmett down the road, but I’m ready for Iain.
