Sid is a young women who had something happen to her when she was younger. What that was?? I'm still trying to piece that together. She is feisty and smart. She is a makeup artist for movies now and it has taken her a while to get where she is.
Simon was her next door neighbor and her first love? I don't know much about him. I feel like I'm missing his voice and his side of the story.
From the start of the boom I felt like I was left out of what happened when they were younger. What is the chess pieces about? I'm curious if we get the rest of the story about their younger days. What happened? Was a good book. 4 stars.
