Review: The Cleanup

The Cleanup The Cleanup by Megan Green
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the Washington Rampage series and you can read this as a standalone or out of order, but I do highly recommend reading each book as these men on the Rampage team just keep getting hotter on and off the field. Plus, its nice to see our old friends that occur as secondary characters in the story. This is Brandon “The Cleanup” Jeffers story. He’s the bad boy of the team and off the team. He’s a one and done type of guy. He doesn’t love them and leave them, he screws them and leaves them. That’s okay though as he is up front about this each time. Of course, a girl will agree to this, but secretly hope she’s the one to break him. All is fine on the field, but ever since the day he shared with Liv he cannot get her out of his mind. He’s getting tired of the player life (not on the field though) and thinks Liv just may be the one.
Liv and Brandon have chemistry and an “oops!” Liv decides that based upon his background that she’s going to go at this alone. Brandon wants to show Liv that he wants to start something with her and that he has “Cleaned up” his act. He doesn’t know that her defenses are up for a good reason. Well leave it to your friends to help you when you need it most! Lexi and Ian are going to help this Rampage up even if it causes a bump or two for Liv and Brandon. It was all done for a good reason and you shall see why I state this after reading the story. Brandon truly does show Liv that he is serious and has “Cleaned up” his act, which is quite shocking when he reveals this to her. He is going to continue to bat his way to each base with Liv until she can see he’s serious and that he scores his homerun (his girl). Can Liv handle this lifestyle though is the question? I think she can once she figures out a groove to the madness of being with the Bad Boy of Baseball.
We got to see Lexi and Ian (from book one) in the Off Season, we see Brandon and Liv’s story here and now we need to see what the deal with Carter is? He’s the newbie on the team, doesn’t take the girls up on their offers and is quick to stop Brandon from letting a Rival teammate have a few drinks with them. What’s up with that is the question? Carter is full of mystery and hope he is next in line to get a story in this series.
