If you have read the other story from this series and then Law & Beard (from Dixie Warden Rejects series, you know that inquiring minds wanted to know what the deal was with Linc and Conleigh as you could feel the tension and feelings these two had for each other but would do everything to keep space from each other. Ever see a grown man squirm when it came to a girl? Well you will when it comes to Linc! See there’s a few barriers blocking him from manning up. You got her dad, the MC, his football career and the fact that she is four years younger than him and has her own career plans. These two may fight and not get along, but underneath you know they are secretly yearning to release their feelings. Well they can keep Talkin’ Trash that they cannot and won’t be together cause after eight years and with Conleigh being an adult now they have waited long enough to duke out their feelings and explore if this can lead to where they both secretly want it to (their HEA). Linc’s patience is wearing thin and oh my do I love him even more when you learn a few things about him. Shocking, but loved it! Football and the MC are his life, but he will stop at nothing to protect her and when she lands herself in some trouble he will put his career on hold to head to her side. He’ll either be screwed or get screwed. haha

I always love how Lani throws in characters from her other series cause it makes you smile 99.9% of the time until you see someone appear in this story that you wanted to throttle before and want to throttle again. Boy did I think that person would not be back and wonder where this is going to lead! Lips are sealed, but it’s a shocker let me tell you. Another thing to love about her books is that you don’t have to read her books or series in order. You are never left out of feeling like you need to go back to understand the current story, it just brings a smile to your face when you see a character appear though and miss them. Up next is Wade’s story and the bear claws may just come out based upon the background that we know when it comes to the wife (or ex-wife). Cannot wait!
