This story has the college feels with some added twists that leaves your mouth hanging open. Beth is a college freshman and will be attending a school where her brother’s BF, David attends. He promises to look after her and that he does. Beth has always crushed on him, but can she afford to have her feeling resurface again? How will she react when she finds out that David hand a hand in the break-up with her ex?
David honors his promises and we see that he hid his feelings well for her. Once his feelings are revealed will she take him seriously or will she think he is only saying this to protect her from something that is occurring at school? Nope, not saying cause it’s a good one. We find out the truth about his hand in the break-up that destroyed her and we get another WHAT! THE! About someone and something that should not happen, but we know does. Never did I expect the WHO! I really thought it was someone else.
If you love reading friend to lovers or sibling friends along with dealing with surviving, loss and family with a connection between the two that are meant for each other this book is for you. You will love the characters including the secondary characters and the added wth moments that circle back to them. That ending was epic and while this is the first read for me by this author, it won’t be the last.
