Review: DIESEL

DIESEL DIESEL by Crimson Syn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Diesel is book seven in this series from the HBL MC and as this story continues the fire we are waiting to cease, we see that the bond that Gunner and Diesel shared in the military and the bond that continues as band of brothers in the MC makes both of them Ghost in reality. His past is dark as we expected from what we have seen of him, but you may be changing those things you wear under your pants a time or two, just saying once you read about Diesel. The stories of Gunner and the girls they fall for are similar to a point, but not so similar and you will see why after you read the story. They may share a bond you can say, but each have their own darkness to overcome and way that they are helping to bring down the enemies. It makes sense on why Gunner (as I refer to him as Ghost I and Diesel as Ghost II) and the Prez keep such close tabs on Diesel when he’s on the road.
Gabriela is full of spitfire and a match to the gasoline, Diesel. Her power is full of unleaded and synthetic actions you can say. Diesel if powerful, but she has the in to secrets than can either help her or hurt her cover in the end. Diesel has nothing to lose after all that he lost. Holy tears streaming down face reading about his past. He’s out for revenge just as Gabriela is. Ironically their reason for revenge is closer than it appears. Does Gabriela fight for what she’s been working so hard to uncover or does she protect the man she is falling for? Is there a way to balance out the two? Um, so not telling you. Read this book and while in the past I’ve said that you can read these books out of order and still follow the enemy background as we are nearing the end of the series I’m going to say don’t read this prior to reading the other books. You would be able to follow along just right (like the Goldilocks and three bears porridge), but it is better read in order to get the full story of how far the MC has come with Gremlins, Porcupines, Drug Lords and gangs. You will see who you can and cannot trust.
This series may be short reads each time, but it gives you just enough to keep you holding onto the next book is released. I was lucky that I was able to read these all back to back except now just a small piece of me wishes I waited until the much-anticipated Knox is ready to read these all at once. You will fall in love with these alpha men who fall hard/quick, like it dirty and will stop at nothing to keep their MC as it is known for one of the good ones. I loved every one of these men, but I cannot wait for Knox as his story is going to be Jaded and so worth the wait. He’s waited the longest to land the one that he needs to claim and we will see the outcome of where the MC stands with standing firm on their decision. But, why do I get the feeling that CS will bring closure to the crazy but somehow tie it in to the upcoming spin-off of another MC crew we see in this book? You know what I’m totally OK with that though cause it means we can see more of these Alpha protectors that we cannot seem to get enough of. Patiently, waiting for Knox…Book eight.
