This is my first book in this series that I have ready by this author and I will be going back and reading the other books in the Cerberus MC series. What I love about this book is that you get the good MC crew with a non-MC member that falls for a rival MC sister! Plus, we get the added suspense of Cerberus and the Renegades MC.
Dominic is not an MC member, but his brother, Kincaid is and takes the MC life seriously even though he is not a patched member. The Cerberus crew are all ex-military and the good ones. Mak puts Dominic in a position when she lands on his door step with nothing but the clothes she has on and he must pay for the cab. Haha She is scared and pretty knocked up with bruises. Can Dominic keep her secrets that are revealed from his brothers? What impact does this have on the MC is what you will be asking as well? There’s something about the crazy pink haired girl that calls to Dominic after all these years of being single after his wife destroyed him and had him putting in many years in the military.
There is an instant attraction to each other that is intense and somehow regardless of what Mak endured by the hands of Grinder, she could feel safe when Dominic’s dominant side comes out. You will have tears in your eyes hearing her story. I loved that Dominic had all this crazy security and found it amusing that the girls from the club came by to water his plants and clean out his fridge. They didn’t know that he knew. Too funny! Once the secrets are revealed to the MC (Cerberus) can they protect Mak and will they forgive Dominic for hiding Mak is what you will be wanting to know?
Even if you do not enjoy MC reads, I believe that you would enjoy this story since he is not a patched member. You have some triggers, but they are not too graphic for those of you who do not like those reads. You will see that not all MC lives are bad and that this family does some amazing saving grace for many. It is very touching and will bring a happy tear or smile to your face. Mak may be known as “Poison” by her brother (Renegade MC), but she is anything but this and has a heart of gold, OK heart of pink to match her hair. LOL Even if you don’t read the whole series I say at least read this one cause you will not be disappointed.
